Hookmark Version 6.10 public (build 6284; Integration v. 371) is now available for download.
In this release:
- IMPROVED the performance of the Hookmark Context window in general.
- IMPROVED performance of
Hook to New> folder - IMPROVED: We have moved the Export Bookmarks and Import Bookmarks buttons out of General Settings into Gear menu > Advanced. These two commands are also now available from Hookmark’s File menu.
- IMPROVED: The Bookmarks window now remembers what tab you last selected.
- IMPROVED: When Hookmark’s context window is unable to detect a linkable item (e.g., because the file is not saved), the Context window will now show the AppleScript error message. That will help users understand what’s happening, and they can contact us on the forum or via other channels if they don’t understand what’s happening.

Show Bookmarks Windowvia global shortcut now puts cursor in search field. - IMPROVED: It is now possible to configure a global shortcut for
Copy As Universal Link. - FIXED: Hookmark on some Apple Silicon Macs would repeatedly request license to be applied.
- FIXED: Sometimes the message in ‘No Linkable item found in…” window could not be read.
- FIXED: Universal links could only be used by the Mac that generated them, so they could be shared.
- FIXED the
Show Menu Bar Windowkeyboard shortcut. - FIXED a crash in Bookmarks window.
- FIXED another crash condition.
New and improved software integrations
- New: Added support for Godspeed, DuckDuckGO, Spark email on Setapp, and Heptabase.
- Updated: Integration with Zotero 7.
Eligibility for updates
Hookmark software updates are free to any Hookmark CogSci Apps customer with a Hookmark Updates license that was valid at the time the update was released. Hookmark Pro and Hookmark Standard each come with one year of free access to software updates.
If your Hookmark Updates license has expired and you apply this update, please note that Hookmark will revert to Basic mode until you purchase and apply an Updates license. However, you can also revert to a previous version of Hookmark that was released during your Updates License period. Upgrading from Standard to Pro includes an additional 12-month Updates license.
