Sometimes an app is not link-friendly, meaning it is not compatible with Hookmark’s Copy Link feature. That’s a drag, but we have a work-around for this situation. As long as the app’s content is indexed by Spotlight, you can create a link to its content.
The trick is
- To Copy a New Unique ID ( ⌘U)
- Paste that ID somewhere in the file or object.
- Where you want to reference it, use the Copy a Search Link from Clipboard command (⇧⌘S).
These two commands are in the Advanced menu of Hookmark’s gear menu. If you use Hookmark in foreground mode, then the commands are also available in Hookmark’s Edit menu.
