Hookmark 7.2.1 (6640; Integration v. 420) is now available.. This tweaks the dialog box requesting macOS accessibility privilege for Hookmark’s Badge icon (affixed to the foreground window).

Hookmark 7.2 (6635; Integration v. 420), prior to 7.2.1 built on 2026-06-29 introduced these enhancements:

  • NEW: In context of a PDF, Hookmark can now extract the DOI from the footer and show the corresponding web page as a RELATED link.
  • NEW: Support drag & drop from Bookmarks window to menu bar icon.
  • IMPROVED: Ask the user to grant macOS accessibility privilege to Hookmark Badge. .
  • FIXED: Hookmark did not recognize the F3 key when it was used as part of a keyboard shortcut.
  • FIXED: After focusing on a link one sometimes could not rename it
  • FIXED: A beep sound when one clicks on Shortcuts Tab in Settings window
  • FIXED: When selecting a link after editing the title (in title bar), both would lose focus.
  • FIXED a beachball/crash that could happen when exiting Hookmark.
  • FIXED several other crashes.

NB: it may take a few seconds for Hookmark to obtain the related web page(s) because Hookmark needs to talk to servers to get the page title.

Integration updates

  • Added support for Octarine and Apple Maps.
  • Updated integration with latest BusyCal and Capacities.

NB: due to a limitation of Capacities (whose x-callback-url API does not support deep linking), and a change in UI of Capacities, Hookmark will use the URL of the page as its title.
