Hookmark 7.1 Release Notes

Hookmark Version 7.1 (6579; Integration v. 416) is now available for download.

This version contains several improvements

  • NEW Action ☰ button command: Hook to New PDF in DEVONthink available in context of web browsers.
  • IMPROVED badge positioning.
  • IMPROVED: Removed Finder extension due to a dock issue introduced by macOS 26. Use Finder Services instead.
  • IMPROVED: Added a command line setting to not open the library at launch. Do defaults write com.cogsciapps.hook open.bookmarks.window.at.launch 0
  • IMPROVED: backup database after opening database
  • IMPROVED layout of Settings panels.
  • IMPROVED: changed the Advanced setting for PDF folder to be analogous to “Store hookmark files in:”
  • FIXED Selecting title bar but the previous link row is still in editing mode
  • FIXED badge count in context of Safari
  • FIXED a memory leak due to Hookmark’s badge.
  • FIXED positioning of the About Hookmark window.
  • FIXED: After “Copy Link” Hookmark could stop responding for a while DEVONthink service was active

Please update ASAP to Hookmark 7.0.2. It works around a Sparkle issue that can cause some Hookmark installations to generate excessive network traffic by checking for updates too frequently.
