How to Paste Links in Apple Mail With the Title, Not Just the URL

Have you ever tried to paste a well-formatted link (one that has both a title and a URL) into Apple Mail and been frustrated that it shows up only as a URL? Well you are not alone! Ever since macOS 14, Apple Mail has had a bug in it, or maybe a new stultifying “feature”, which vitiates links. It means that to get a properly formatted link, you need to use the Add Link... command — unless you have Hookmark.

We have built a solution to this problem right into Hookmark. As of Hookmark 6.4 , there is a new command in the Advanced submenu of the Action ☰ button (in the toolbar): Copy Link for Apple Mail . This command does what you would expect. It copies the link in a format such that when you paste the link in Apple Mail, you will see it as a well-formed hyperlink, meaning an underlined phrase with an embedded URL. There’s even a keyboard shortcut for this time-saving command: ⌥⇧C (option-shift C).

This is yet another example of Hookmark being a “Swiss Army knife” for all your linking needs. That’s why we say:

Hookmark links your digital life.

So, give why not give it a try, and discuss on Hookmark forum, here.? 😉
